AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Lyceum welcomes submission of research papers and scholarly articles on any aspect of Humanities, but especially in emerging areas or exploring novel perspectives and conceptions that advance theory and practice.

Lyceum invites writings on the following sections:

1. Research Paper / Scholarly Article

2.  Book Review

3. Creative Writing (Short Fiction & Poetry)

Papers / Writings submitted for publication must not have been published elsewhere, or under consideration for publication anywhere else.

There is no charge to the author(s) or the authors’ institution for paper review and/or publication in Lyceum.

All submitted works are blind reviewed by at least two referees. The reviews will pay particular attention to whether the papers are interesting, useful, thoughtful, and a significant contribution to new knowledge in the field.

Manuscripts should be prepared in the format used by this E-journal, with tables and figures included in the text. Contributors should follow the guidelines set out in the Style Guide of the Modern Language Association (8th edition) (MLA). Note especially the proper style for references, both in text and in the Reference List.

Manuscripts for refereeing should conform to the guidelines specified in the Journal. In particular, all direct and indirect references to the author(s) should be eliminated from submitted manuscripts and author(s) information included in a separate document.

Each manuscript submitted for publication is processed by the Editors. The manuscript is blind reviewed by two referees. Working from the referees’ reports, the Editors decide whether to publish the manuscript. The Editors may require the authors of accepted papers to make specific revisions, and may suggest to authors of rejected papers general revisions which might make them publishable.
